Trinidad Moruga Scorpion??

Hey fellow pepper fans!

Before I realized that it is better to spend more on seeds from a reputable seller than to order cheap ones from Amazon, I bought some seeds that the seller claimed to be Trinidad Moruga Scorpions. I started them late in the season so I only had about 3 peppers actually grow. One is finally ripening but I am doubting whether or not it is actually what they said it was. It just looks different than the ones I have seen pictures of.. Can anyone tell me if this is an actual Trinidad Moruga Scorpion pepper?

that pod does not look like a Moruga, there will be slight variances in pod shape, i would est it and see just how hot it is. because of the pod shape and coming from Amazon i have my doubts..... my winter time pods are smaller and did not retain that moruga look, but all my big mature pods did.

Is the picture not showing up?
Meinchoch, you must be looking at it on a phone. I can't see it on my phone either. And I wish I had some other mature pods to compare it to but that is the only one! I ordered some legit ones so it's nbd if it's not a moruga. I just want to know what I have here

It could be that your plant was getting started so the pods looked different if it had produced longer the pod shape might have changed to what it was suposed to look like. Chances are though it may have crossed at the vendors end when it was grown out for seed or could be something else.  I got some seeds that came from a friend here the seeds were labled Infinity at first the pods looked different from what I saw on the net, but later on they bulked out some and looked what they should be, to bad you didn't get more pods.  I'm sure though that the seeds you get from here will grow true.

Looks like a Trinidad scorpion to me.

I don't have a pic of the bottoms of my pods, but they should look like this:

Hm yes. Definately go from a reputable dealer next time. Jim Duffy, Ford's Fiery Foods, Pepper Joe, Pepper Lover, there's many more.

I strictly buy from Jim Duffy. Love and support his vision, plus its in Cali just a few hundred miles away so shipping is inexpensive.

Do it bro, remember next season is a whole nother ball game. I'd suggest ordering soon and germinating according to your  last frost date 10-8 weeks prior is usually good.
Best regards.

I planted three moruga plants from one pack of seeds this past year. Two of them loooked just like those, while the third was more round and 'brainy' looking.
