Trippaul Threat (PdN x BMJ) Community Grow

This is a dedicated grow log for Tristen's awesome cross, which I
have been growing out since 2014.  I'll start with a bit of history and
some photos documenting what's happened so far.

In January of 2014, Tristen (Trippa) sent me a little care package of seeds.
In the package were two generations of a cross he had made, which he just
called 'Mystery Cross, F1' and 'Mystery Cross, F2'.

Here's Trippa's Mystery Cross seedlings in February of 2014:

Both generations showing the purple foliage characteristic since the beginning.

Up close look at Trippa's Mystery Crosses, F1 and F2.  Both culled to a single
plant after the photo taken, so I only had one plant of each generation:

Purple gal...
Way cool, Scottie! Love the early poddage. The white pheno
looks just like the pods the seed came from. Eeeeha! Really
nice forks on the purple, and great branching on the white seed
plant! Both looking true to phenotype. Good work, my friend!

Trying to upload another bit of Segovia. You cant swing a cat without
hitting a 12-14th century Romanesque church in Segovia. There are
around 20, in a really small area. This is the Iglesia de San Juan de los
Caballeros (St. John of the Knights.) This particular part of Segovia is
called the Knights Quarter, where the Knights/Barons had their palaces.
The churches were designed as much for defense as for worship. Our
rented flat is about a 2-minute walk from this church.

Whew. Pods already Devv. Here mine are enjoying the rare warm April weather here in the Netherlands. So small still. No pods in sight yet haha!

Clockwise: CGN 21500 and Cheiro Roxa. Then four of the purple phenos and two of the white phenos. They started off pretty fast but my other plants quickly caught up and grew past them.

Those look great...I wish mine were smaller and no flowers yet.

Looks like you timed yours pretty good for your plant out time.

Happy growing

So I had 2 Purples...1 damped off, I'm trying to rescue it by defoliating it and burying it neck deep in my grit mix until it sprouts new roots above the stem break. (this process worked last year on an aji amarillo, but at this point this is just an experiment)

my other purple is great! very dark

Looking Good!

They surely will explode soon. So far mine have a tall, leggy growth habit, just like the true PDN.

Thanks! I hope they will. The warm, sunny weather did wonders already. I haven't noticed the same growth habit as a true PDN though, and I even have one of those to compare them to. The PDN is much, much taller and planted at the same time. I wonder how that's possible?

I'm guessing your seeds have more Bonda traits?

I will say mine didn't really show this until they got around 18"s tall. I started them in early December to coincide with my local growth schedule.

A few pics from this weekend, they're really podding up a lot more than the were last shown...not in a crazy manner, but mo better ;)

I also put one of each in containers. They're liking the dirt much more!
