Trippaul Threat (PdN x BMJ) Community Grow

This is a dedicated grow log for Tristen's awesome cross, which I
have been growing out since 2014.  I'll start with a bit of history and
some photos documenting what's happened so far.
 
In January of 2014, Tristen (Trippa) sent me a little care package of seeds.
In the package were two generations of a cross he had made, which he just 
called 'Mystery Cross, F1' and 'Mystery Cross, F2'.  
 
Here's Trippa's Mystery Cross seedlings in February of 2014:

 

 
Both generations showing the purple foliage characteristic since the beginning.
 
Up close look at Trippa's Mystery Crosses, F1 and F2.  Both culled to a single
plant after the photo taken, so I only had one plant of each generation:

TTP, These pods are going white-ish as they ripen. No way this plants mother was within 50 yards of the whites I grew last year, or any other white colored pepper..

I'm letting those pods get super ripe for seed saving. What I really should do is isolate a few of these plants, 15 gallon WET bags are mas heavy though..

start to soften a bit, they should be ripe.

Looking forward to spreading this variety around. I met an ex-Navy dude from NY that runs a restaurant not far from my house, and he's enthusiastic about peppers, so this will definitely be on the menu.

Mine this year are going even lighter in color as they get really ripe. Nice specimen

My F8 Trippaul Threat white from Devv looks like
the first two small pods are going to be light yellow
instead of white. WTF.
