Trippaul Threat (PdN x BMJ) Community Grow

This is a dedicated grow log for Tristen's awesome cross, which I
have been growing out since 2014.  I'll start with a bit of history and
some photos documenting what's happened so far.

In January of 2014, Tristen (Trippa) sent me a little care package of seeds.
In the package were two generations of a cross he had made, which he just
called 'Mystery Cross, F1' and 'Mystery Cross, F2'.

Here's Trippa's Mystery Cross seedlings in February of 2014:

Both generations showing the purple foliage characteristic since the beginning.

Up close look at Trippa's Mystery Crosses, F1 and F2.  Both culled to a single
plant after the photo taken, so I only had one plant of each generation:

Nice pods, Scott!  My F8 is also showing a light
lime-green phase, as well. Very attractive on the plant.
I think a better descriptor for the final color might be
'ivory' rather than 'white'. I have to use a 'touch test'
to see if pods are ripe. Hard to tell by color only.
Most of mine wind up light yellow or off-white.
really looking forward to see what color my F8
turns out this season.

I wonder if anyone is getting the violet pods this season?

yes id agree, ivory is more accurate.  so far all 5 plants are growing the same.

That’s a good sign that stability is at hand!

I am really looking forward to seeing everyone’s
results this season.

lets hope so. its an impressive visual with ivory pods and dark foliage.

Alright, Scott, doing Tristen’s cross proud!

I am getting antsy for some mature ripe
pods on my F8 and Devv’s as well. Looks
like at least 4-5 growing weeks left, then moer
Fall-like weather through October. We might
make it yet!

I like to hear that, Chris! I hope you have
great success with them. Good luck avoiding
the nasty weather!

After seeing folks pics here, I am thinking there
should be F8 seeds available around the community!

The Trippaul Threat v2 F2 continues to ripen pods.
The other four specimens have not started coloring
up yet. This one gets points for early color on the pods:

The color is more red than the photo shows.

Two of the five Trippaul Threat v2 F2 have ripened
up some pods. Number three, red, and now #4, yellow.
I wonder what color the others will turn out to be?

You can see the red/orange #3’s in back, and the green
#5’s on the left:

This will be a beautiful pod!
