seeds Using fresh seeds... will it work?

I have some fresh habbys i have just picked and wanted to know can you plant fresh seeds?
Do you have to dry them?
Maybe if i do like the old days when drying grass in a paper bag on the dash they will be ready and dry by tomoz? what is best Gurus?

Fresh seeds will grow fine, they dont need re-hydrating and so long as they are mature and viable seed, you will be fine :)
Good Luck

If you are not sure as to maturity, upon close examination of a "mature" seed, you will see a "c" shaped bulge on many of them. This is the seed embryo,
its presence is a good indicator that it is fertile and will grow.

yes, i have notice that for most types that i have planted fresh tend to germinate a little faster, and i think it may have to do with what SHADOWCHILI said,
they dont need to be rehydrated, it seems the embryo doent have to work quite as hard

thanks your friend Joe

I actually got my first hab started by just slicing one in half and putting both halves in the ground. They are pretty easy to grow under good conditions so fresh seeds will work fine.
