I live in Benicia CA, a water front town between San Francisco and Sacramento, and its also the location for the world wide corporate head office of Matanzima Foods (ok ok thats a desk in the corner of the family room)
Well last night we had a pretty cool visitor
The USS Iowa was moved out of the mothball fleet in the delta, and tied up at the benicia dock last night, before moving on to richmond today to be refurbished as a museum. She will be in Richmond for 3 months or so before being towed to Long beach
The Iowa was the ship Roosevelt sailed to Yalta to meet Churchill and Stalin at the end of WWII
As a (South African) navy vet I've always been fascinated by warships, and the Iowa class battleships are stunning
