Very first try at growing peppers. Rymerpt 2014 ( 2 pod CHALLENGE VIDEOS)

The seedlings are Thai and the egg carton is Thai seeds. The other little pots have habenero seeds. I'm also gonna try some supperhot seeds when the package arrives from Smiley. (Thanks again Mike)

I'll post progress often I'm sure. Yesterday the seedlings moved from a small six pack to their new nesting grounds. All rest in nothing but organic seed starter soil and water.

Sorry about the bacon plants, we all do it, its called learning...and believe me I've killed my share.
 
And I believe it was Jojo who said to put the babies outside, when the weather is right as soon as they stand up they go in the sun. No hardening off needed on the newbies, they just grow.

Per my wife's request just added another tepin X lemon drop and a trinidad scorpian maruga saten strain to my grow list.

Scorpian tongue is looking great!

Cool, kinda like a bath. Teenagers got a bottom water/feed tonight. 10-10-10 in the water, in a storage bucket. I let them sit in the tub about 5 minutes each.

Man I wish these pics were clearer. It looks like Percy has buds. They are seperate little buds that appear to have white centers. There are several, maybe seven. They are clustered pretty close to one another. They could be leaves ready to sprout I spose, but think buds. If they are buds they should be pinched off because to early, right?

Thought all day about my Thai teenagers wondering if I had watered them correctly last night. Tonight I checked by putting my finger into the soil to feel for moisture. It did not feel as wet as I expected. I bottom watered again tonight and just let them float in the bath/bottom watering station. Soon I was able to see the top soil moisten. Now I think I did it correctly. Live and learn.

He sent me a pod. I took seeds from it, but nothing has come up yet.

Just received a package from Rocketman. Also just made a command decission.

Original seeds have been placed outside to germinate:

Wild Tepin (aborted)

2) original Lemon drop X Tepin (outside)

Fatali (outside)

Peruvian White Habenero (outside)seedling died, but other seeds may still come up.


I took the wild tepin seed out, redid the soil and planted three holes with Rocketman's Thai short hots.

Drastic ? Yes, but room is very limited and hey they may just germinate on the patio anyway.

The seedlings that have come up from seeds seem to be doing well. Most of the cups are doubles. Looks like if all works out my patio is going to be pepper central.
