Hey Tinnie, glad you entered! If you can improve your picture quality (and make them larger) and presentation you will get votes. Not to say the best pics wins, far from it, but the pic has to showcase what you did... and you did great! Duck, pumkpin, Peruvian flavors.... win!

If that was on a dark plate, to make the yellow rice pop, and the duck pieces were situated on top, and forked a bit to show it was falling apart, with a bit of glistening from juices... trust me... you'd be getting votes!

We can't smell, we can't taste, we have to judge by pics and descriptions.

But it ain't over till the fat lady eats!

Well well well, go to NZ for a weekend, miss out on all the fun................

Some amazing entries, so manu options, everything looks great.

Loved KBK, DTS, Pic1, FD, and so on, so many decisions, but in the end, i went with DTS.

I could just imagine eating platefuls, bowlfuls, shovels full, hell just jam my mouth open and pour that pot, right on in

Thx mate i appreciate it :P ..... not really worried about votes though, like i said i did it because i enjoyed cooking for a bit of fun and being a part of it ..... truth be known technology and making food look really pretty arent my stong points (trust me you dont want to know how long i was friggin about trying to link those photos  )

I'll certainly take your tips on board though and hopefully im free to participate next time

Wanted to thank THP for pointing me in the direction of this part of the forum...... first time i have done something like this and really enjoyed it.... also had a good excuse to try a dish ive been meaning to have a crack at for a while now hehehe.....

My vote was split between Essegi, FD4 and Geeme. All three i think nailed the essence of what a one pot meal is (for me anyway) --- but FD4 edged it, while not a staple meal in my parts..... Cuban ACP certainly is a treat to have and his looks incredible..... soul food at its finest imo.

.... but to echo some of the other posters id plow through every dish lol

........and Essegi you should give broccoli a chance.... maybe not as an ingredient.... but on its own, steamed with a little sea salt.... it truly is a winner
Eh eh i know broccoli, i just don't like cooked vegetables in general (i know it's a bad thing). And it's a fight in my home for that! :D

You recipe is very good (and i say your cooked vegetables are good here), i like duck (i still think its best use is for ragù with bigoli, but it's just me :D).
I like a lot that image: http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/640x480q90/594/ardj.jpg
that "sauce" is amazing!

Thank you Essegi :P

If you ever make your duck ragu please pm me the recipe..... that was the 2nd time ive ever cooked duck...... id like to give that dish a crack one day

1st TD I put PoL in every pic.2nd TD didn't get PoL in any of the pics. tappin a corny keg of your own winter warmer right before you start your TD meal, Priceless.

Lot's of awesome entries in this one makes it pretty hard to choose. Something about the bread bowl that keeps me coming back.

Keep voting! Still anyone's game for sure.

As I expected, this was incredibly hard to choose.

I loved FD's entry and PIC1's was also solid. Essegi lost me at that heat level - the recipe just looked too damn hot even though the meal in concept looked excellent. There are no losers here - even JayT's seafood+cheese which I don't mind, and it looked great. Salsa Lady was my runner up. She's got mad skillz. Joyner's was amazing and my close 3rd.

But in the end, I voted for DTS - shepherd's pie is a life-long favorite, and with the frosty weather there's just something so so so damn comfy about that comfort food. In the end I decided to approach my vote with "if I were going to make one of these dishes, which would be the 1st I'd make?"

The flavors work so well and DTS version of S.P. was the dish I thought I most wanted to cook for myself. Well done everyone, and great job DTS - I wish I had that in my kitchen right now.

Husker woulda gotten my vote, but I'm allergic to Quinoa… and before he posted DTS was lookin' mighty yummy...

Lots on entries....... there's some good looking comfort food.  I had to go back and look at a few a second time and some a 3rd.
The dish that Chris made caught my eye, nice job with the homemade sausage....I saw the process shots but didn't see and write-up on the unique ingredients that make Andouille what it is...
Nice work Essegi.........I saw the same pasta today at the mkt. The dish looked simple but elegant.
I liked both DTS and Husker 21....similar...sort of.  Im a stickler for uniform cut on the veg......that went to DTS.....but the ingredient factor went to Husker21.
Usiing Quinoa was Guinness............I mean Genius!
Speaking of Guinness...that ingredient did me in, more ways than one. My mother-in law, many times has made either a stew or her brown bread with stout. Your dish reminds me of the wonderful taste that Guinness contributes....therefore ...well ya got my vote.
Jay T......nice idea, ...but...............Prego ?
Sum nice choice with the Eye of Round...glad to see that used here..
Good luck to all the entries...
