Haven't been here yet this season, due to lack of time. Decided to start a 2013 glog, however. Hope you still enjoy.
 
The dutch weather's been crap this year and I've been too busy at work, so I hadn't had as much time for my plants as I would like.
 
My grow list for 2013;

Dong Xuan Market, a very bushy plant with heaps of flowers and now showing some pods;

 
7-pod Jonah's. Both of these plants have now one branch less

 

 
Criolla Sella, lots of flowers and pod. My most productive plants.

 
I'try to post more soon. With the weather changing for the better, I'm spending more time on my plants. Weird, isn't it ?

So, time for a little update;
 
This is what I planted as a Aji Limon, but probably isn't? Loads of pod though, can't wait to see and taste what they are like when ripe.

 
Habanero Peach. Lots of pods here as well. Staring to ripen, so happy with that. Anyone kwows how they taste?

 
Habanero Tasmanian. Picture's not clear, but more pods coming on this plant.

 
Criolla Sella. Loaded and more ripe ones every day

 
I hope these will turn out to be Redd Devil's Tongues

 
And that this one will be a beauty of a Butch T. Not many pods on either of my Butch T plants

 
No picture yet, but all four of my primo seeds are up

Haha you got me on that last question, but the ones that have the green flower petals are definitely C. Baccatums (Ajis are baccatums too). So the Criolla Sella looks right since it's a baccatum, but from what I've read the chinchi uchu is a C. Annum so it would have the solid white flowers most likely. 
 
Guess we'll have to wait til they start ripening & see what color they turn. I love a good mystery!

It's been no less then 5 days already without an update. So here's a new one
 
Habanero Peach, nice amount of pods, some ripening. I started to experiment with empty teabags, so I can get some CP seeds from them. No idea if this works though.

 
Red Devil's Tongue, started producing pods a bit late, but is doing fine now

 
Dong Xuan Market. I've got two plant with different shapes of pods. Could this be from open pollinated seeds?

 
My biggest Butch T. I've got about 10 pods on two plants. Mostly small pods

 
Criolla Sella, I tasted these in a salad and ond pizza this week. Tastes good. Not very hot though

Nice pics again wally! The Criolla Sella isn't anywhere near as hot as a Chinense, but they make a good powder base for orange-yellow chiles. Don't throw away that 7-pot Jonah pod unless it's soft where it's coloring up. That doesn't look like sunscald to me... peppers that ripen red often go from green through orange before fully ripening. It's possible the Dong Xuan Market pepper was open pollinated and you ended up with a couple of crosses, but it's not unusual for there to be some variation in the first pods to set. Usually, they stabilize later in the season and become more uniform. Good luck with the sequestration experiment, I hope you get seeds that grow true from it. Cheers!

Thanx, I think the DXM has been cross polinated, this is beyond the first pods.
 
I planted two Carolina Reaper seeds today. Put them close to the Primo's so they can become friends
All the Primo's are doing well. Maybe I sell a couple at the local market and tell people they're mild peppers

It's time to put some family members in the spotlight again . We've got some decent temperatures for about two weeks (about 75F), so let's hope it gives the plants a boost.

So here's a strange thing; I have two Jonah plants, but the color of the pods is different. Anybody who knows what might cause this, I are they actually two different varieties?

Can't help you there Wally... It could be a cross with something else, or just a point mutation... it's kinda hard to say without a gene map of the parents and the offspring. The only yardstick is whether or not you like them if you're growing them...

I have a lot of that going on too wahlee. Last year only a couple varieties. This year a bunch. I have had some both turn the same correct color and a few not. It has to be genetics.

With the end of the season nearing and temperatures dropping, it's good to see more peppers ripening. I'm taking off new flowers to stimulate the ripening if the current pods. Is this ok to do? Or any better methods?

Hi Wally,
   I'd say it's probably a good idea... by preventing the plant from putting energy into pods that won't have time to ripen, it can concentrate on the ones that will. You'll be more likely to pull up your plants in a timely fashion when they're done for the season instead of leaving them out to attract molds and pests... that'll keep your growing area cleaner for next year. Cheers!

Thanks. Last year I was late cleaning up. That was the end of october. This year I want to clean up at the end of september. This week we still have a nice sun and decent temperatures, but next week night temps will be dropping below 50F
