There is a 10° difference between the top and bottom shelves, so I dont feel like the ghetto lights are getting a fair chance.

I also put the older plants down there, and I've been increasing the feedings and making the soil a little hotter on the new stuff, so the T8 plants are looking really good. It might just be the 6500k spectrum, but I am not too sure. I need to grab 6500k T5 bulbs.

Since I only use my T5HO lights in the start-up
to plant-out phase I use the 6500K lamps,
as well. I have been very happy with them.

Yeah it was an accidental Pt, so I didn't edit in the credit lol.

I have 3 4100k, and a 6700k. I might buy another 6700. But they are like 20 bucks at this pet store.
Idk how many hours are the bulbs supposed to last?

This summer before I blew my shoulder up I bought a pole saw at the local Ace hardware store. I was talking to the manager, as it never hurts to try and chew them down

As I was paying for the saw I asked about all those 1cu foot bags of MC potting soil (in the blue bags) that were on the shelf outside. The sun had damaged the plastic, UV damage. He said 50 cents a bag, I bought 50 of them. So 25 bucks for 50 cubic feet. What I did was open a few and put them in the sun in the kiddie pools we use for the dogs in the summer heat. Once they were dry (I kept stirring them) I put the potting soil in 3 32 gallon garbage pails that I used for rain water collection in the past. That was about 3/5ths of the soil at the time. I've been using it without issues. So they sat for close to 6 months. When I use it I mix in fish bone meal, tomato tone, perlite, kelp meal, and some azomite.

I love clearance stuff

Go to any Lowe's or Home Depot. During spring any of the bags that are ripped or busted open are usually at least half-price if not cheaper.

How about this weird 7pot white? Its from 2013 seed off a seed train, from cone9

Had my first pest issue of the year...

I potted up this sweet twister that my daughter is gonna take to garden club at school. Grabbed some soil out of my tote then went back over by the plants. The wife caught this thing rooting a bunch of soil out of my tote.

Just got her from a friend so I guess I will let her slide this time.

She was just trying to help, like when mine used to follow me around "rescuing" the plants I had just buried.

After my dog dug up a flower bed in the backyard, we figured that we would plant roses in same flower bed. I planted 3 rose bushes, they lasted 2 days before Max chewed them up (thorns and all). I saved one of the plants and planted it in the front yard flower bed. I kinda suspect Max was going for the fertilizer that I added to the holes.

I have issues with my neighbours dogs coming down and digging at and compost that has not rotted away in the beds yet.....Is this wild cat that has been around for a few years that does the same. Between the 2 they chewed off aboot 3/4s of my bell pepper seedlings last year within 4 days of planting.

Over the weekend one of my own deceided to help me out with my too many plants problem and chewed off 7-8 assorted types I had on the kitchen floor ready to pot up after the hockey game was over. She's lucky the ground is too damn frozen at this time of year to dig a hole I tell ya.

Ive been feeding them with fish hydrosalate or fish emulsion(switching between the two) and this Alaska step one grow. And a sprinkle of these ph+ crystals. Like 5ml fish,10ml step one per gallon. They were looking rough at first, and this seems to have turned them around. They plants on the lower level dont look as good, I think due to colder temps.

Its probably 5-6 inches taller than the growdown plants, and it was started 10 days later.

Most of my tiger bb ( from G.I.P ) are pissed off for some reason.
