Walchit's Glog 2017

Hey guys, I figured I would go ahead and make a glog. Here is my first ripe super hot. Its off of a ghost pepper plant I bought at my local nursery. It looked more red on the plant, I may bhave picked it a tad early.

Well thanks for checking out my glog, I will update if anyone is interested. I also have a reaper plant that has quite a few pods, and I have been pulling Caribbean red habs, cayennes, and Thais about every other day.

I really do appreciate you guys checking out my glog, its nothing compared to all of yours, but I do enjoy sharing here. Wound up with almost 6 quarts of salsa the other night genetiikx, its really good in my opinion and a few friends seem to really like it. It could be hotter though, I thought it was hot until I pulled out some Mrs renfros the other Night and its Quite a bit hotter than mine. I hope to plant enough tomatoes to really make some salsa next year. Figure a couple hundred ought to do the trick!

This is everything I've grown or bought this season and haven't eaten or given away. Nice to know I have some quality heat on hand! Oh and my buddy grew the pickles, and we threw in 2 each dragon cayenne, Thai and Caribbean reds. Letting them go another month or so before I try them.

That's a beautiful pic, Walchit, and a fun glog to follow! I love harvesting/processing time of the season. It's even more fun than the grow (to me). The combinations of different "stuff" you can make are endless! Plus, it's cool to see a big stack of jars representing all of your hard work throughout the season. Enjoy!

P.S.- start fermenting sauces, if you haven't already. It'll keep you doing "pepper stuff" year round ;)

Great stuff, Andy! It's nice to see you're putting all of those pods to great use. Very nice Farmer's Market find. I'd sure like to have more chiliheads and markets around me. I've met a few people recently, but nobody really close. And nobody with extensive strain knowledge. Around here, if it's not a regular Ghost, Scorpion, or Reaper, they've never heard of it. Some never eat a second pod. Lol. Awesome stuff, my friend!

Good stuff here Wally!

I just love the pic of all the goodness you put up ;)

If you're like most of us here, you wind up with way too many to eat as they come ripe.

Have you ventured into making powder yet? I see you're doing some drying there, yet another way to use the goodies

I already have powder from doing trades and getting hooked up by the generous folks here, and two different kinds from Texas hot peppers. We will see what the next month or so does to the plants, I may have to powder some. I really wish I had more tomatoes, salsa is the main thing I'm after, I have years worth of hot sauce already!

I had put these in the jar, the scotch bonnets are from the farmers market. All of the whole ones turned brown... They are more brown than they look in this pic. You guys think I should just throw them away?
