Today I learned that if your legs or feet are all gimped up, tilling with a walk behind presents very little chance of falling. It is like having a walker with whirling blades of doom. You have something to hold onto. If you should stumble, you let go of the clutch and both wheels and blades stop. You are left with a fairly stable machine and your hands are already on the handle.
Now the walk to and from the tiller, oh damn that is dangerous.
We gimps are sometimes called At Risk Adults because we essentially have targets painted on our backs. Lots of us resort to going armed these days. I want to figure out how to incorporate the whirling blades of death into an every day walker. Can you imagine the expression on a mugger's face? I mean a handgun is mighty scary, but whirling blades of death, now that there is down right heart stopping.
