Watermelon in Pots?

Holy shit! How long is that melon patch? You do pumpkins too?

5* thanks again for reminding me why I need to keep coming around here. I totally forgot the vine/leaf thing and sweeter melons. Thank you.

I did end up culling the smaller melon. It had started to go soft and shrink. The thumb size babies that I had found on other vines have all dried up and died. That kind of sucks. So what do I need to do to get more than one melon growing?
 
The melon patch is about 110' long and I also have melons and pumpkins (small varieties) growing on the fence line. If you are still getting female flowers on your vine get out early in the morning and hand pollinate it. The reason your one melon aborted is because it was not pollinated well but if you do it by hand it's pretty much a done deal.
