Way outside of my comfort zone and loved it.

So tonight one of my doctor friends who has gobs of money (married into a fortune then became a doc) had a wedding reception for her daughter and her hubby.
Hindu families. Cool as hell, the lot of them. There was music, there was dancing. There was food I couldn't begin to pronounce the names of.

Great people. The music was kickin. The dancers...the dancers. Womens hips can move in the most magical ways. I don't know if there was some message in the dance itself, but I was absolutely captivated by one them.
No meat, dunno if it's a Hindu thing or if the families were vegetarian or something, but it was interesting and strange and delicious.

Tons of my doc friends from the hospital.

So glad I went. I think I have some pics and maybe a short vid I can upload tomorrow (tired as all hell tonight, was up till 3am last night watching the 7 hour long Ghost Adventures Live show and didn't sleep much after that).

It's really cool getting out of your comfort zone and doing something completely off the wall every now and then. Life is a great thing to have been blessed with, and experiences like tonight make it all the better.

Shake yourself up, my fellow THPers!

Doesn't sound out of my comfort zone, sounds fun. Traditional American weddings are out of my comfort zone, with the cheesy music and games. Indian wedding? Bring it on. Why was it out of your comfort zone?

Not a day to day thing for me. It may not have seemed so odd when I was travelling the world in the Navy, but these days? Not so much.

It was fresh and new and really cool.

I think that would have been great fun !! Count your blessing that you got be the token Anglo. Good food , nice music , and beautiful girls dancing , and interesting people from a different culture to talk with ......... I'm with thehotpepper.com !! Sounds like a lot more fun than most weddings I've been to.

Peace,
P. Dreadie

indian weddings rule. I find caucasian weddings have horrible food, while every other culture makes food a central theme!
