Weather

Well there are big storms coming..Who's getting them?
We have 12" to 14" of snow coming on top of what we already have and the highs on Monday and Tuesday are -6 and -7

-1 here right now.  We got 8 inches of snow.  The next storm is only supposed to be rain here though before it is back down below zero on Tuesday.

We have about 18" on the ground. The storms appear to missing us as there's only a few more inches forecasted for the next few days but there's always a chance we could get hit with lake effect snow off of lake Huron. Very cold too. Growing peppers sure is a good way to keep spring in my head though.

That is insane in vegas it's like 60 I think I could never handle your colds

Yeah, but we don't have near the insects in the summer 'cause that cold kills a ton of them. I'm not sure I know if it is worth it, but it is one benefit.

right now temp here is -18F with windchills  -47F , though we should warm up to -17F for a high and tonight low will be about -31F  with windchills -50F to -60F. its gonna be cold tommorrow morning when I have to go back to work (outside)

You guys are having a heat wave then. Here in CT, well.
0 without windchill, -20 F#(%ing degrees with. Not nearly as bad as Ohio, but if you've just had a haircut back to an eighth inch it's horrible.

Kids have off school tommorrow here in southcentral Pennsylvania due to wind chill gonna be minus twenty.

We got about 12" of snow yesterday in Metro Detroit. It's about -8 actual temp, and about 20 below wind chill. Schools are closed, and tomorrow is going to be colder. -12 actual high...and -36 wind chill. Snow drifts are crazy at my house...forget shoveling as it's too cold and it blows back within hours anyways. I only got stuck three times driving to work...once getting out of my driveway, and twice in the same spot (to and from work) at the intersection of my subdivision.

No worries. It's Michigan! I was grilling 4 days ago, and it'll probably be 40 next week. That's how it goes.

We were talking at work today. What state has the biggest temp swings year round? I mean...it's going to be -12 tomorrow, and reached 104 last august. That's a 116 degree swing for us. Anyone have anything similar?

Here in ct we hit negative ten this year, and last august it was a hundred and nine. First time that's happened that I can remember, so I can't average it. I know that California, or rather San Francisco area only, got up to 117 in 2005 I think, but it's more the fact that the temperature deviated from 50-low 60s at all that's amazing.
