I've grew those a couple years ago from mystery seeds. Was told they were called firecrackers

Thanks for the input to all. I believe I may have them ID'd, from the help of another forum I think they are likely Takanotsume peppers - pics I find appear nearly identical at least.

Some sort of Frutescens which a Tabasco chili is part of. Pretty prolific plant there. I bet you make some nice sauce from it or at the very least some Thai food.

Looks similar to the tabascos I grew last year - except bigger peppers. Maybe a tabasco cross?

I only have a few tobasco seeds right now but my overwinter will blow up soon. PM if ya want to send me a sasbe. Mine are OP.

No problem. Stopped at the garden today and found my first tobasco pod on the OW.

looks like to me the picture you posted are frutescens, which is what a tobasco is.

If you post a picture of the calyx of one of the pods it would probably help.

They might be Takanotsume but I don't think so they are a different species, the leaves aren't quite right and like I said we would have to get a better look at the pod OR the flower.

Actually just looking at how the cluster is, I think they are Takanotsume...did it look anything like this when it was about to go crazy?
