overwintering what are you overwinteeing/ bringing in?

What do you mean by they did not take?

I hardened them off for a few weeks, placing them outside whenever possible. What I mean is that the root ball wasn't established enough to support the full sized plant. It seems like they would have done much better if they had been cut back during the winter.

Edit: One of the three plants still looks pretty bad. I cut it back more than a month ago. The other two finally took off, but they just didn't do well. It might partially have to do with the soil.

Nevertheless, they will flower and produce fruit indoors. I'm not sure how long to let them produce fruit before cutting them.

I'll be bringing mine in tonight. I hope they didn't get damaged this morning. I didn't get up early enough to check for frost.

I'm bringing in five this year, I think.

White 7-Pot
Yellow Scorpion CARDI
NOT Fatalii (this plant is so prolific it's insane)
Chocolate Habanero (4th year plant going for a half-decade!)
Yellow Bhut or Chocolate Bhut - Haven't decided, might do both

I'm tempted to uproot and bring in a NOT yellow bhut from CPI that is a monster in-ground plant (about a six foot canopy), but may also try and cut back and cover to see if it'll make it. Hate to lose all that good root system.
