no it is not a completely different subject, it has to do with the end of the earth and there are those that believe the end of the earth has to do with UFO conspirasary theories. That, exterrestrial beings will have a say in our outcome..

do you think some aliens are gonna attack earth in 2012 ?
IMO the only connection of aliens & 2012 would be ancient aliens that visited our ancient people & gave them insight/knowledge on some things.

The ancients couldn't predict solar flares and didn't have the knowledge to do so, again, we are lead astray on what the ancients knew, if they knew so much they would still be here and a fully documented history would exist but instead we have silly biblical scripture that states goofy things that happen 700,000 plus thousands of year before things happened. And of course, for those that really want to sell you books or a newsletter, they will tell you what is going to happen in 2012.

you still cant grasp the fact of no matter how big, powerful, & knowledged a civilization is that they can fall & be nothing more than a chapter in history. just look at all previous civilizations in history!
then explain why humans went kinda backwards during the dark ages vs the earlier centuries.

if ancient civilizations were idiots (in your eyes) then explain to us how they knew so much about planets, moon, sun, seasons to the exact day, then all the things they have built....some things we cant even reproduce today with our technology, then some things that make ya go WTF.
like explain how does ancient egyptains have a little carved plane, that people (recent humans) made it to scale & it flew! not just seconds...it flew!
