What is the age of your oldest pepper plant?

Post the age, variety and if possible pic of your oldest pepper plant you have. I have heard of certain types, particularly some wild types that can live for more than 20 years. I want to know who has the oldest living pepper plant her on THP...

My oldest is a 7 Pot Douglah that will be 5 years old in about 2 months. It didn't produce much this past season, but it has given me many pods over the years as well as over 100 plants I have grown out from it's seed. I plan to keep it going as long as possible.

Mine are only 8 months old.Aaron,I have seen some pictures of 20 and 30 year old plants.Their owners climate  is better then owns.I don't think it is possible, to grow one that old were I live. You have a better chance.

Cool. Same pot, same soil? Or do you plant it out?

I just gave away the topsy t planters last week, one of which contained a six-pack of mustard habs that were 4 years old and still producing year round ...

That's a magical variety, Aji Joe's friend nailed that one ...

Can't believe despite all the mislabels and even outright deceptive shit I got from them, that the Mustard Habs were easily - and I mean, far and away - the heartiest plant I *ever* grew in the garden ...

Even against the BLS ...

I have a two year old Red Moruga bush that has never produced one pod. Nice looking plant each spring full of flowers, but never a single pod. It's in a half whiskey barrel and all keep it until it dies or gives me a  pod.

Yes, pics please.

Some good aged plants so far, but surely someone has a plant here that is at least 5 years old?

My Vietnamese neighbor has a 12 year old potted Thai of some sort,I am witness to the age

Kevin
Do you know what type of Thai it is? 12 years is impressive.

I think I am going to start some wilds I intend to keep for 10+ years. I want to see how long I can keep one alive.
