I use a Canon Rebel T3i, but I mainly use it for recording videos. But once I start growing peppers next year, I will probably start using it a whole lot more for photos.

How do you like? I have the Canon eos rebel XSi, while I like the camera a lot, can't wait to get better lenses ...

I love it. It's a great little camera, and I like it even more as time goes on. Like you though, I wish I had some better lenses. The things I could do with some wide angles.

One great piece of advice, if you buy top level lens like L series, they will work down the road when and if you upgrade the body. I started with a t1i and a few lenses and after 2 years moved my body to the 7D as I learned how to actually use the camera in full manual mode.

Love that camera, a few friends own it and it's awsome! Only thing I don’t like is having to change over to CF Card as I've got loads of other media cards. For that reason I’ve been eying the 6D but it’ll probably be a while till I upgrade and seems there’s new improvements every year.

If you wait for improvements you will never buy when it comes to technology. :) The 7D is amazing and the most recent firmware (2.0x) upgraded the camera to an amazing level! Check the uplifts - http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/standard_display/EOS7D_firmware

How true, but cash is tight :/

Wow they are some significant upgrades, probably in 13 I hope to make the move heh

Edit: Have you heard of or had the pin bent issue w/the 7D? Something to consider when going CF card and their cost/speed advantage has been steadily eroding … this is why I considered the 6D but it’s very pricy IMO :/

Bent pin issue is only an issue if you constantly change cards.
I simply got a fast and large cf card and never remove it. I can get 250-300 raw images on it (and over 1000 full size JPEG if I ever shoot that) to get the images onto my computer I just tether the whole camera as its just as easy. If I was shooting for extended periods without access to a computer and shooting in raw I guess I might see a need for multiple cards or if doing a wedding etc where you may need a back up.

Yeah I shoot RAW and have a 32GB and 16GB card, I rarely have to change cards out and each file RAW is 25MB. I cannot say enough about the Canon 7D. If I was making more money shooting I would be using a MARK III but I do not have to time be a backup guy for most of my pro friends.
