What pepper are you trying today? P.O.D.

Just picked my first red scotch bonnet grown from seeds of a supermarket chilli. Not as ripe on the inside as it seemed on the outside.
I was expecting a nice sweet taste, all I got was a typical bell pepper taste. The heat was about right, good creeping burn but nothing amazing.
Safe to say I'll be using up those pods and never growing the plant again!
MOA's next year I hope.
 
Unripe Moruga.
Quite citrusy, quite hot, some acid, bhut actually kinda nice all together.
Maybe I am developing a better taster for food in general as well as for pepper pods.
 
Just tried my first aji chuncho. Absolutely loved the flavour! Had a nice hint of sweetness, and very juicy for such a small pepper. Heat level seemed a lot hotter than it was, as it seemed to attack purely under my tongue and I always struggle more with peppers that do that to me. Overall a fantastic pepper, and can definitely see me having at least one plant every season now.
