I have several cotton seeds that have germinated and I will soon be transplanting them into 3" nursery cells. But I cannot see those being large enough to last until the middle of May. Google said cotton plants need a lot of room to grow, to use big containers but never defined "big." But another site said to place 2-4 plants per foot when sowing from seed. I also read they transplant fairly easily when smaller but as they get larger, the success rate is not as good.
No sense in using larger pots than needed, but I don't want to have to transplant more times than necessary. Experiences?
