i was just reading about how he was a singular dude who decided about all labeling and shit ...

hard to imagine the system that deal a multi-billion-year industry had a single-point-of-failure ...

didn't know he retired ... did he gets replaced w/ a board instead of a person? ...

I like River Hill however as has been said there are a TON of River something brewery's. As your in an area that has such a rich history you should use some of that in naming yours. For instance in a quick search of Yorks history you could use:

White Rose
SnW or S&W for Spengler and Whisler
1749

And then

Brewing/ Brew House/ Barrel House/ Brewing and Distillery/ Brew House and Distillery etc...

And that's from a quick internet search by someone who doesn't really know much about the area.

Oh, I really like White Rose Brew House and Distillery. You could do some really cool things with your trademark label. Even a cool White Rose design on the bottle cap.

White Rose is York, and there is a bar there called The White Rose. As Wheebz is going to be in Lancaster Co. it just wouldn't make sense anyway.

I used York as an example, I'm sure there are historical references for Lancaster county as well that could be used. A quick example from a really quick google search would be

Conestoga Brewing/ Brew House & Distillery/ etc...
could be some really cool graphics done with this. I could an air brushed dust cloud with a Conestoga wagon headed west in it done in shades of gold and black or even like a futuristic one headed to another planet in space.

There is so much to draw from for that area from the Native American history to the Amish and Pensilvania Dutch. Not to mention the ties to the beginning of our country and the American Revolution.

Stir-Bar

Works on two levels, brewing and people can refer to it as a drinking and tapas destination in a sensible way (which I believe is powerful) ...

Where are you going later? Stir-Bar.

We had drinks at Stir-Bar.

It's branding smart, IMHO.

Consider it this way. When your beer gets put on tap at someone else's place, the hype becomes inherently competitive.

We went to River Hills Barrel House to try that Stir Bar Oatmeal Stout they have on nitro - heard they bottled some ebony porn ...

It practically begs someone to visit your taproom, not just drink the beer.

This, or Solera Station - are the best I've got.

Tap That Barrel House has a nice ring to it.  I can see tap handles that are like exclamation points; Tap That Milk Stout, Tap That APA, etc.  Also like Two Charlies.  Or if a partner is named Jeff or John you could do Two Jays.  Like the other two better than Two Jays.  Like em all less than Ambient Ale Works though.  ;)

TapThis Barrel House

TapTHAT points the focus to "that"... something elsewhere,  TapTHIS brings focus to THIS taproom, THIS beer bottle,

None of the above names really trips my trigger~  They all seem ...meh....

Someplace Brewing- are you really going to call it "Someplace" or is that a placeholder for the town name, county, or other location you just haven't decided on yet?
Ambient Brewing- sounds too close to Ambien and sleep drug... First thing I think of is Ambient Temperature... like the average, normal, middle of the road, nothing special,
Hybrid Alehouse- I'd expect everyone to be driving Priusesor something.  Are you doing some special hybrid process where the word Hybrid is significant to your operation?  Again, it sounds to me like  a blend or mix and not something special.
Moderation- nope, I don't want any type of reminders to be responsible on the beer I'm drinking.  ( I do like that slogan...  )

TapThis Barrel Works
TapThis ale house
TapThis Brewery

require all your servers to look like Hooters girls and Chippendale guys, wear t-shirts 2 sized to small with a big "TapThis" on the front.   Works for both sexes~~~

Sorry for the negative comments on the names, this is just what came to mind right off the bat.  But I'm super stoked to hear your working on your own place!!!  I'll be watching for more updates.  Do you have a thread started yet? or is it in the AskWheebz thread?

I do not want people to say "have you had that beer from Tap This/That brewery?"

that sounds horrible
