Where can I get Pro-Mix BX?

Well, according to the search engine on Premier's site, BX can't be found within 100 miles of me,
but look what I found today at my local Farmer's Co-Op.
I just asked as an after thought and struck pay dirt!

Now to do a side by side comparison with my mix and see what's shakin'. :)

$28.95 is quite a bit more expensive than my mix, but certainly easier on the back. ;)

So folks, don't forget to check your Farmer's Co-Op if you've struck out everywhere else.

I got a great one-time only deal on promix BX this year, $20/bale including delivery and taxes. I got enough for a couple years now

Hope you got more than one at that price SS.

Nope, just one. Gotta do a comparison test b4 I think about buying more since it's easily 3x the cost of mixing my own.

Great price, but I think you're a little closer to the source. :)

I actually came across this at Canadian Tire. I didn't think it was the right stuff until I stumbled across this thread. I may actually give it a shot. Until now I've just been using the local nursery stuff.

I was at the local hydro store on Sunday and they want $43 for a 3.8 cu. ft. bag. I passed this time. Back to my old mix then.

Its weird because my local nursery was not listed as a "Pro-Mix Retailer," but they had Pro-Mix BX. It seemed strange, but I guess if they dont have any other kind they arent considered a retailer? Not sure of why, but found it quite stupid.

Do they have dry compressed bales or just the pre-moistened stuff in the smaller bags?

It was the large bale like SS posted. I can't remember for sure, but I think the price was under $30. I'd have to double check that though.

I'm out of the stuff I usually use so maybe I'll pick up a bale and see how it goes. Lots of people here on THP use it so there's got to be something to it.

I started using it after Potawie said he used it -- and I was like " if its good enough for him to use then Ill be sure as it myself " We all seen what he can produce

Just got back from crappy tire and found out that it's ProMix HP, not BX. $26.99 for a 107l bale.

According to the website brochure, Pro-Mix HP contains more perlite than BX. It would also appear that HP doesn't have vermiculite where BX does.

PRO-MIX HP
HIGH POROSITY
GROWING MEDIUM
