My picks, in order would be:

1) RB003. Extremely hot and evil looking pods. Better flavor IMO than most red superhots, with very little floral or bitterness, at least in the ones I have grown. Also, the plants are very productive with less flower drop than most other superhot varieties that I have grown. And the pods are wickedly, painfully hot. But the heat builds up slowly enough that you actually get to enjoy the pepper first. This variety basically checks all of the boxes for the qualities that I want in a red superhot.

2) 7 Pot Primo. This is also a very good red superhot. I really like the looks of the pods as well. And since you've got seeds from the man himself, why not go ahead and grow them out? I have actually been watching for them to come back in stock on his site myself. Still, the RB003 has produced better for me, and IMO has a bit better flavor than the Primos that I grew in the past, so that is why the Primo gets the #2 spot.

3) CGN 21566. Nice, strong fruity flavor with a fairly smooth habanero class burn. I also liked the purple to orange color change on these.

4) Aji Mango short pheno. The ones I tried had a nice sweet flavor and a mild, pleasant burn. Just a really nice milder baccatum pepper.

5) Aji Lemon. I'm assuming you are referring to the same or similar variety as Aji Lemon Drop here. These also have pretty good flavor IMO, and are very productive. These tend to be a bit hotter than the Aji Mango short pheno.

6) Yellow Moruga Scorpion. Big pods, with nice yellow chinense flavor and good heat. This variety wasn't super productive for me though, or I might have put it at #5.

Thanks for the reply πŸ‘

Some excellent suggestions..........

While I did manage to get 7 Pot Primo seeds directly from this year's release from Troy 😎 bloody took a while !! I must make it clear I did not get them "directly " from Troy as he's not allowed to send them to me here in Scotland πŸ˜•

However......where's there's a will there's a way ...........πŸ˜‰ and swaps πŸ‘

I've heard good things of the Trinidad Moruga scorpion yellow I'm a huge fan of the Red variety πŸ˜πŸ˜‹

so much fun to see others beginning to plan for 2026 when the 2025 harvest has not begun. i do the same thing.

I tend to construct a grow list based on 3 things:

I want to grow all main species except for the wilds. to me they look to much the same.
I think about the end product i'm looking for, then search for a pepper that fits the bill.
My main focus is flavor and desired heat.

so an example

i want to grow a baccattum
this bacattum will be used to dry and make powder
i want a good taste and medium heat

I chose the aji picante de Juana.

in this fashion a will choose
10 annuums
10 bacattums
10 chinense
4 pubescense

Then i choose 16 project plants to experiment with and refine the list.

When se season comes to an and, i will choose the winners and try and overwinter them. Then complete the growlist for the next year.

hope this helps.

7 Pot Primo
- this covers your superhot basis. Great variety, tasty, aromatic, plenty of heat for your evil plans. I personally use mostly powdered.

CGN 21566
- covers your yellow, hab heat level and fun/interesting variety. Will be nice fresh, and gives you ability to make yellow sauces, yellow powders....

Mayan Habanero red
- gotta have a red hab of some sort. These are my favorite category for general purpose, goes on everything type sauces

Large brown Habanero
- always fun to have 1 brown/chocolate in the mix. Great for smoked powders or blends etc. Can be mixed with red habs for depth and color...

Cc Piri piri
- wouldnt be a complete grow without some good hot annuum. Thai/birds eye/ piri piri types are great everyday user peppers fresh/cooked. I add fresh to sandwiches or soups, cook in with beans or rice, and dehydrate for pizza flakes... gotta have this or something like it or you'll die a sad heatless death

Early jalapeno
- whats to say you dont already know? its nice to have jalapenos for poppers, pickling, sauce bulk, and sauce/powder bulk and depth etc.
