White Fatalii (PL) glog

I know I got a late start, but living in Florida I'm hoping that wont be too big of a deal (although the heat and rain kind of scares me).

Transplanted my little germinated seeds today, the root length was 1/2"-1" in some so I decided it was a good idea to transplant them today. I'm using Solo cups with 3 holes drilled into the bottom in a triangle formation. Planned on just doing 3 plants but we see how that turned out. Didn't have enough cups for all the germinated seeds so just going to let the extras grow some more before giving them away. The trench the cups are in has a nice incline to help drain off extra water to prevent the soil from staying too wet.

talking from experience, the rain will destroy your seedlings. Florida rain comes hard and heavy. I'd build a little makeshift greenhouse or put a fish tank over that till they're established

I plan on watching the forecast and protecting them from out downpours.

I get that, but all it takes is 1 time to ruin everything, I wouldn't want that to happen.  I'd also do what grant says and maybe put it in a shaded covered area if you want to keep it outside. I always start inside because of pests and the sun and I just use fluorescent bulbs daylight spectrum

I have it in an area that only gets a few hours of sunlight, i have 2 sprouting with leaves and 5 more about to pop out. Im a bit paranoid so I will keep an eye on them. I would keep them in my screen room but our cats destroy plants. Ill take this into consideration trying to decide the best approach to this. Have limited space and an indoor grow isnt really and option.

Uhm ... there is no season, TBH ...

It's perennial peppers in Florida, unless it freezes - which it hasn't the past two winters for most zip codes ...

They won't set pods in the intense heat of summer, but you'll be fine for the best part of the year (Fall) ...

Well, if you listen, anyways ...

Sounds like you're rockin' more Munchausen than 8-Mile.

What about wasps, lizards, possum, armadillo, grasshopers and any of the other number of critters that have been mao'ing down on my plants? ...

Although not a great pic, this is mine from yesterday. There are a few pods forming in the lower middle part. The leaves are curled slightly inward, but it's always been like that since it started growing leaves. Seems to be growing fine.

My two White Fataliis from PL seeds also have crinkly leaves. Plant looks like its got problems but I've seen several people report the same look & it's growing & producing (unripe) pods so I'm not worried.

I'm glad i found this Topic...

My White Fatalii plants (seeds from PL as well) also have curled, wrinkly leaves.
when they were little it really concerned me, but after seeing them continue to grow fine aside from the weird leaves, I've just assumed it is a trait of this variety (I could be wrong but the plant seems to be doing fine otherwise) My Trinidad Perfume plants seem to display crinkly looking leaves though not as curled as well, and are otherwise growing just fine also.
All my other plant's in the same grow medium, receiving water from the same source do not display these weird leave characteristics.

I have not yet got any pods set from my White Fatalii, but it is starting to have flowers, so soon... Hopefully.

D3monic, what did you think of their taste ?

My hydro white fatalii in only a gallon of water.

Definitely a very prolific plant. Also have the leaf curl from seedlings until now.

Wait is this a white fatalii public glog or did I just troll someone's glog?? If so my apologies.

Its my glog but i don't mind, couldn't find much on here about white fatalii growing so your guys comments have helped me either way and i appreciate it :)

Oh ok sorry about that. Yeah its a cool little plant. I enjoy it because it stays short and bushy which is great for my hydro set up.

I have a pod ready but I like to let all my pods ripen and take pics of them on there so I haven't tried them yet. As a matter of fact I haven't tried any fatalii yet. I'll let you know when I do. Goog luck with the grow. I think you'll be just fine in florida ;)
