Maybe.. I do get run of the Mac most nights, but if MrMel is playing poker it can be a bit tricky.. I've had a look at a few netbooks but havent found one I like.. and I still want an ipad..

I understand. they do look cool, but it seems like a very frustrating way to surf the net if you don't really HAVE to.

I have to confess I do want one. I am oftentimes checking out rss feeds and web site while I am traveling to work, and while I love the iPhone, a larger display would be great. But I don't like how it won't have a camera, at least not immediately, but there are things in the SDK that seem to point to eventually getting one and the supposedly space for one in the frame, at least from the rss feeds I read. Also there is the thing about not multi-tasking, or is there? Today I read that Apple patented their corner clicking thing for the iPad which may point to multitasking, say "spaces" for your iPad? But I need to get a new MacBook Pro, so I may hold out. Then there is the rumor of a more powerful iPad might be coming out. Too much rumors and not enough features announced yet.

there are definitely some major features missing (USB being a major one...what's with the 30 pin connector and no USB? Isn't the 30pin kinda outdated? how do you plug in flash drives to share data?), but I still WANT IT! I'm sure the camera will be included in the future but why exclude it from this one? I don't think there's enough to convince me yet to not buy a laptop instead.

I saw an ad in Sky-Mall for sunglasses that held a heads-up computer monitor and ear phones.

Wake me up when the HP releases the Slate.
 
I like my iPod Touch.....quite a bit. I just don't feel the need to supersize it with no new or interesting features.

Besides....the virtual keyboard thing is a pain....no matter HOW big you make it. Give me a mouse and a real keyboard, please.

I never understood the point of surfing the web through your phone since its so small.
I still dont understand texting, call the person leave a message thats fully understood! costs the same ammount of money if not less using a call!
use a phone for what it is, call people not use it as a computer, if you want to use it as a computer get a laptop! bigger screen, more features & better!
now people want to buy a Ipad WTF is that ? get a lap top & a normal cell phone.

Like a portable touchscreen computer mostly driven by specialty apps. Correct me if I'm wrong folks!

sounds like more BS to me!
I do just fine with a cell phone with no internet access, no texting plan. & a laptop to use when I'm not working.
maybe apple should start calling their products as " I-scam "
 
It's strange it's not a phone. It supports bluetooth.

Not really though they want suckers to buy the iPhone too!

And they will buy both!!!

Suckkkeerrrsss! With your iPhone and iPad devices that could all be in one but Apple is greedy! :)
