Why will it not grow?

I have had this plant for 2 months and it has stoped all growth. I have fertilized it regularly like all my other pepper plants and they are growing fine. Does anyone have idea why it is not growing? This is may sweet apple and moa scotch bonnet.

Also I have a reaper that is producing fruit. All my peppers loose their leaves after fruiting. Is there any way to prevent this? The leaves have already started to turn yellow. I also have been fertilizing once a week. Will more fertilizer help?

I water when leaves are droopy(once a day) and firtilize once a week. Should I fertilize more for the reaper?

Also how do I stop the leaves wilting? Should I spray them with water? The soil is wet

wilting is not always a sign of thirst and is not a major concern. I have had plants wilt to the point of foliage drying and still came back after a good watering.

resist watering for a day or two at least. it is normal for pepper plants to look wilted in the middle of the day on very hot days. you have to gauge how wet or dry your pots are either by poking a finger a couple inches into the potting soil or by picking up the containers to feel their weight. very light pot is dry and a heavy pot is still wet. you will learn how to tell. just keep in mind that peppers don`t like to be too wet.

Might be a good time since the pots have compacted a bit to add a good layer of mulch after you let them dry a bit. Then you can really cut back on watering.

Even in 90+ full sun my 5.5Gal pots that are black as well don't need watering and when it's time to feed I use liquid ferts so they get a dose of H2O every two to three weeks. Do they wilt? Yes they actually look like they need the water but when you test the soil you'll probably see that it's already moist. Plus when they finally get shade and they perk back up, pretty good sign water wasn't the cause. If you have rain storms off and on it can actually be very difficult to get your potting mix to even start to dry out in my experience.

So defiantly don't put them on a water strike or anything but check the potting mix/soil if your worried - but more times than not you'll find they have plenty of moisture. Over watering causes all kinds of problems including but not limited to suffocating your plant, root rot, flushing all the nuits away, PH stuff, you name it.

Out of curiosity what kind of fert are you feeding them?

i just got back from a 4 daytrip out of town and it was 95 every day. Hydro of course was fine but my containers were also happy and still dont need water quite yet.
What kind of fertilizers are you using? Could be caring a little too much for them and over feeding.

i am feeding them with a basic 25 25 25 fert. I have cut back on water, but I do not think the leaves drop b/c of over watering. It happens every year right after it produces fruit. this was not just my reaper. All my peppers lost their leaves after fruiting last year and the reaper was the only one to survive. this is why I do not want this to happen.

Peppers absolutely do drop leaves because of overwatering.

25-25-25 is pretty hot.  How often do you give them this?

I don't believe that the leaf drop is related to that, but still interested to know all the facts.
