Will this Winter Never End?

Ok, with all the Extreme snowfalls happening this year, let's get some pics of it up here! This is the best I can do though ;)

LOL, let's see it!

Scovie, I hope that windshield has been replaced, just say no to crack brother :)

Why do dangerous roads look so beautiful and peaceful?

I could go thru three windshields a year if I really had to. Rocks, sand and dirt is where we live. In fact our four seasons are referred to as Mud, Dust, Smoke and Snow. (spring, summer, fall and winter)

Dash is right, that road isn't dangerous, because there are only 2000 year round residence here and we ALL know how to drive in it. You can spot a "Coastie" (people from the coast ie. Seattle) or a "Touron" (Moron + Tourist) 10 miles away. They are the ones in Volkwagen Touregg with ski racks driving 5 mph... scarred shitless. I was driving 40 mph sipping coffee, playin with the stereo, and talking to CJ when I took that picture.

:D
I would take these roads over city driving ANY. DAY.

  I LOVE that word! You're the only other person I've ever heard use it!

Defined as: Those people wearing polo shirts and flip-flops who are standing 200' from the trailhead annoying everyone by whining "How far is it to the waterfall?".

If it's tourist season, how come we can't shoot them? :D

Hophead, that looks a lot like the passes here. The main pass closes for winter and there is a valley wide pool every year for what date and time it will be opened. (Yeah, dates don't cut it anymore, you need to guess the time of day also lol).

Down here they're called Snowbirds and we can't shoot them either ;)

What is this 'winter' you speak of?

The last half of January and all of February has looked like this:

Well above average temps, with a few record highs....

...and damn near zero rain.  Note the small dark green pip on 2/3 that represents our total rainfall.

Even the cactus will be dying if the Death Ridge that is shunting everything to the northwest doesn't break down soon.

If it takes out the teddy bear chollas, the ridge doesn't matter. Evil cactus demons.

In all seriousness, I hope it goes away soon. Not likely though.

CT just hit 45 yesterday. :woohoo:
And reaching the mid 50's on Saturday - gotta love winter in N.E. -  Gives me a chance to clean my camper roof off before any more storms come. I blame everything on Malloy and Obama anyways

yeah these 70 degree days are killer, texans begin to freeze solid at 40.   At 35 there is a massive run on all the grocery stores, at 31 we close schools in case there is precipitation
