The trays are the self-watering Burpee 32-cell type..Hopefully they will maintain more consistent moisture levels.

Bahamian Goat (FadeToBlack), 6
NagaBrain (romy6), 8

Thanks Ido! Thanks for stopping by! That hydro Goat of yours is looking sweet! I'm anxious to see it loaded with pods...

The Goats in my germ tray are a slightly different variety from the one you are growing...The seeds I sent you came from pods I grew from seeds from THP member capsidadburn, who got his seeds from THP member JungleRain. It's an insanely productive plant, and the heat, flavor, and aroma pods are wonderful. Below is a pik from my 2012 harvest:

The current batch of Goats are from seeds I received from THP member FadeToBlack, who actually lives in the Bahamas. Below is a photo of the pods from which, I believe, my new Goat seeds came. As you can see, they appear to be the same color, but more elongate in shape. I imagine the flavor and aroma will be much the same:

Nice pods, Gary :) My goats were shaped like little pumpkins but I sowed it late so didn't harvest that much of it.

Beautiful pods Stefan! You are an artisan grower...

What do those goats taste like?

That's a good question, Sawyer...I would describe the aroma as pungent and fruity...The flavor is sweet, much like apricots, then there is the burn, standard Hab strength.

What's remarkable about the Bahamian Goat to me is the "sugary" coating on the inside:

Those are beautiful, and sound like they would make a great sauce (among other uses, I'm sure). I'll have to try some of those sometime.

BTW, I found your other topic on these. Interesting read.

Four....So I save seeds from whichever of them produce the desired pods?

Exactly. At this point, each of those plants will be unique and different. So when they start fruiting, only save seed from the plant you like best. Who knows, depending on how they turn out you may want to keep seed from more than one, but definitely keep them separate when you do so you can keep track of what's what (one may be more bonda-like, another more Y7-like etc.).

Cool, thanks! I would have planted a larger population, to increase the odds of getting a true-producing plant....but then I over-extended myself once again before I knew what had happened! Probably out of 4 individuals one of them will be good....

Went back and read everything. Very nice ... enjoyed your food shots thrown in a lot. Show's how you'd use a certain type of pepper.

After reading this your Ja Habanero type sounds good . I enjoy fruity scented peppers. I can't wait to hear your thoughts on the Bahamian Goat pepper. I love and hate hearing people describing the taste of pepper . Sometimes they sound just like a pepper I should grow !! But hate that because I can't grow everything.

Peace,
P.Dreadie

I'm growing a lemon drop this year just for that reason PD.
