Worm Castings

Very cool.

Are you saying you're going to use only worm castings as a potting soil? You know there is very little NPK in worm castings right? Use it as an amendment, not a potting soil.
 
No, what I meant was I am going to mix castings into soil, but not use any additional fertilizers. Sorry, I wasn't very clear.

I plan to create the mix several weeks before planting in order to allow the microbes time to spread throughout the soil. My belief is that good earth has all the nutrients necessary to grow good food, so I'm not especially interested in NPK as such.

I will be logging both groups thru the season to ascertain which produces the better plants, pods, etc.

Of course, if the whole thing falls apart, I will end up doing what is needed to save the plants. But only Organically.
