XXX POD PORN XXX

Those were in half of a bag i got from the grow store that was white with no name or anything and half mg then the pot was planted into a 5 gallon bucket with bagged topsoil and rabbit poo. They all seem to be pretty ok with it except my fatalli plants. Next year I'm gonna make my own mix and eliminate a lot of the topsoil.

I used straight topsoil last year with ok results, but remixed it with peat, perlite and a mix of nutes and have had better luck in my buckets this year.  Since we're posting porn:

This is my most productive plant, a Bhut thats big and podding up like crazy.

My number two is this Dorset plant.  Lots of pods on this one as well.

Here's a little Jonah.  It's the only one so far that has that kinda "pumpkinny" shape.

I have a few more pics but I'll end with this nice "witch nose" bhut from one of my smaller plants.  All the bhuts on this plant have been pointy like this one.

Nice pods pics guys.  The weather in Peoria seems to be treating those babies well.  Those Morouga pods are gonna hurt, trust me.  Don't eat the seeds, unless you enjoy private time reading.

Looking good, shouldn't that 7 Pot Jonah be turning red...seems going yellow.
I thought that too but there's another pod on there doing the same thing but it's turning more red on the top. Don't think I've ever seen one go yellow them red. That's if they're still there. My sister has been in town and i told her she could make hot sauce. I picked a big bowl of the tepin lemon cross and left it on the table. I stopped back by (after drinking at the bar all night) and a, bunch of my shit had been picked. I'm so flipping mad. Have to go look (sober) in the daylight

You should post a pic of the "damage".
I will if it's bad. I got kinda pissy about it Abbe she said it was only a few. I HOPE. It gets better tho. Ha, she then told me she made sauce and it wasn't all that great. Oh well right.. I'm thinking she's gonna eat it so no big waste right? No.. She just text me and said she forgot it in my moms fridge. Wtf... So now i got some shit i don't want and my babys were picked in vain. Smh

All the plants and pods look great, nice early January start.

I'm really diggin that Tepin x Lemon drop cross, any comment on taste for those?
They are absolutely delish! They pack a great punch but it goes away fairly quickly. There good sized pods too and taste great in the sauce i made. The plant it's freaking loaded with pods and i get a nice bowl full off it every other day or so. The only problem i see us the branches are long, thin and droopy from the weight of the pods. They droop all the way to the ground.

Here's the ones my sister wasted yesterday.

Sorry to hear about what happened. One tiny consolation, you got to introduce us to the tepin x lemon drop cross and managed to snap a pic for us before they were "wasted".

Any chance you'll offer some for sale or trade?  Those look just big enough for nearly any use except stuffing.

Yeah there right there too. Any bigger and they would be perfect for stuffing. I picked out a buch of seeds and the plant throws pods like wild fire. So sure i can share. I'm curious to what the next generation will bring. I got the pods from someone on here and come to believe the rest of the plants it was around were Chinese except the Lemon drop. Then someone here said the wilds won't cross with Chinese only bactum and the lemon sounds like the culprit to me. I'll try and get some better pics here once i hey to my moms. I'll try and point out the similaritys I've noticed. Hell I'll even pop one and try and describe the taste a, little better.

I would love to try to grow those! I like both the tepin and lemon drop and it would be very interesting to see them develop. I love me some superhots too, that's most of my list for the year. Wanting to try the douglah/butch t pod but don't know who has it. Might have to try a search.

I got home and figured out she don't know how to make sauce. Thank God lol! She only used 2 lemon drops and 4 of the bowl of tepin cross... She did pick a couple Antilles fire but didn't use them. Any how here's a pic w a quarter to show the size of them.

If you turn them sideways they are semi thin. Just a little to small to stuff imo.
Here's one of the lemon drops i picked the other day. It's a small one and not a good one for comparison but it's all i got at the moment. The tips are very similar on the big ones.

Strange how they get so big even though crossed with a tepin. They must have a wonderful taste. How thick is the flesh?
It's a really thick walled pepper. I can cut into one once i get home.

As for flavor they taste like a ripe bell at first with heat of course and then there's accents of that acidic lemony flavor in the end. As you swallow you can feel the heat roll down your throat but it seems to leave that area quickly. You are left with a pleasant tongue burn in the end. There awesome! The heat is Prolly close to a hab but not quite there. I think a normal person could handle them in cooking or powder no problem.. I've been snacking on them in the garden and they don't seem to be that obnoxious.

Honestly i was bumbed when i got the first pod cause it wasn't a tepin.. Now I'm loving it to the fullest. That plant is really neat!

Sounds like what I would expect.

Wonder how it got such a thick wall when tepin has basically no wall and lemon isn't all that thick.
Unless its with something else but that citrus flavor is pointing me in that direction

I do wonder if tepins can cross with chinense, does anyone else here know a definite answer to that one?

Trying to search google, i see some clues, but my google-fu is failing me atm.

Otherwise, with the other clues you mentioned, i can understand why you'd think it had a lemon drop parent, flat sides, similar tips, citrus taste etc.

Oh. My favorite thread since I joined is growing quite nicely.  :onfire:  I can't wait to try some super hots. That Tepin X seems like a good  sandwich eating pepper. Might go real good in some homemade guacamole. :drooling:
