XXX Rated EDIT: Seeds Available

So what does it take to cross peppers? Just grow two different strains and cross pollinate, then take the seeds from those pods and grow them out and you have a cross? I'm confused, yeah it happens easily , I'm drunk..:)

To all interested in seeds, I will have lots of open pollinated seeds soon ( 3-4 weeks) and possibly a few isolated ones IF my science experiment succeeds.

Please be aware, as noted in my first post on this thread the cross is not stabilized.  I grew out 3 plants this time, and one of the three is a yellow fatalli.    The good news is all 3 plants are very robust and productive.

I'll post a couple more pics and a taste test this week.

Thanks for your interest and patience.

Way cool! Want some feedback on the flavor too. These look like tons of fun to grow... Willing to trade?

Taste tested today, and with good results.    The initial taste is a little fruity, not nearly as much as a yellow fatalli but it's good.

The burn was immediate and aggressive.  It wrapped itself around my tongue and didn't let go for a good 6 minutes.    I'd say it is hotter than regular fatallis, not quite superhot level but close.   I ate only a small slice less than 1/8 of the pod.

Pictured below are pods from the 3 plants I grew out from last year's seeds.  All were from the same parent.

From left to right    1) The red XXX from the plant that produced the gnarly pods pictured in the thread above  2) Yellow fatalli variant  3) red fatalli variant with smoother pods

So, I will have plenty of XXX seeds but they will all be open pollinated.   I have been trying my hand at isolation and it's not looking real good now.

If possible, I'd like seed from "the gnarly pods pictured in the thread above." And not stablized is the fun part!

And thank you for filling or seed need.

Taste sounds great, heat sounds scary. Just the way I like it I guess... Thanks for being so generous with the seed offer in a couple weeks. PM me whenever you're ready to work something out and I will try and make it easy on you.
