i learned this hard lesson the day i lost Amanda, you cant take back the hurtful things you say or do and can be left with regret afterwards
Amigo Ajijoe, I feel like this thread is a response to exactly what you describe. You can't take back hurtful things. And I think a lot of the posts here are exactly because people realize they can't say what they want to say how they want to say it to the people they want to say it to! (did that make sense?)
Someone is driving through the parking lot and instead of yelling out the window to the walking person to get out of the way , they bite their lip, finally get around the morons, and then post here that they wish people would walk outside of the driving area. That seems like a good use of the rant thread.
Yea, some of the posts are a little irreverent, but I believe they are all in a good, and sometimes, SAUCY...attitude.
I'd rather rant here about about tour-ons who are so high strung and bound up with Lycra that they get impatient about the slow gas pumps at our local gas station, than "venting" to the person who actually needs to hear the words...."Dude, chill out....relax....you'll get your gas in good time...get into M##### TIME!."....
Without venting to the touron, the Tour-on leaves the area remembering all the good times they had skiing or mountain biking in our pristine wilderness areas, instead of remembering the jerk that yelled at them at the gas station. And maybe they'll come back again and maybe next time, they will have chilled out....
(was that just a rant?!?!??)]
Patrick, I feel like this thread could be a very good thing for the ongoing mental equilibrium of us chileheads who know we can come here and vent about anything and get it off our chests. It may not change the actions of the person(s) who we may be venting at...but at least in the case of your original post, hopefully it has raised awareness of the importance of posting questions with good quality pictures so others can make an educated guess.
best wishes to amigo ajijoe~
