I know, my Mum was trying to get me to eat my fruit and he says that. A lot of kids also think that wind is the trees talking to each other and strong gales are the trees arguing.
 
thunder is an electrical discharge. Caused by the friction between positive and negative particles due to the rapid movement of hot air raising.
Once no more charge can be stored then it short circuits to earth, and the thunder you hear is is crack that the spark makes
This prob don't make sense, but i'm sure someone could polish it up a bit so that sense can be made!

Thunder is the concussion wave generated when the air immediately outside the lightning bolt is dramatically heated. The lightning bolt is very hot, and it heats the adjacent air a great amount, and very quickly. This creates an explosive shock wave that expands outward from the bolt, which we perceive as thunder.

Are but it is..there are places even today where the great mother voice is still heard,Some of the Old tales are true me dear,We don't listen anymore as individuals and then as a whole.

lol, I know someone who built his very own Tesla coil. it's kinda big and scary. not very powerful (they can get dangerous if they are), but cool looking.

I've been trying to get The Creator to build a tesla coil for his exhibition booth for the trade shows.....seems like it would be fitting for him to have one anyways.
 
Oh man when i first learned about Nikola in elementary school i practically worshipped the guy, and devoured everything i could get my hands on about him(which back then wasn't a whole lot)
