Mill's 2012 glog

Going to cut back this year. Only 17 varieties started today, about 150 actual seeds. Probably only 5 more after this. Had a lot going on at the end of last season and did not pull any plant to overwinter, which means I lost my 3rd year Tree hab... O well. Time to start over.

The list:

Chocolate Bhut
Giant Bhut
C. Galapagoense
C. Annuum var. Glabriusculum
Black Congo
Goats Weed
Birgit Locoto
Anaheim
Jalapeno
Chocolate Hab large long
Fatalii
Ugandan
Tree Hab mother
Tree Hab 1st gen
Tree hab 2nd gen
Tree hab 3rd gen
PI 159236
PI 653675
C. Rhomboideum
Hot Thai ornamental

Everything is being germinated in cups in my little cabinet then moved up to the big one when they put on a good set of true leaves. Pictures to come when they start a-sprouting.

Cool pix of your germinating seeds!

Rhomboideum sprouted!!!!!!! Amazing that it did it so fast.

How does the mylar work for you??? I am thinking of covering the mirrors I have with it,

It works better than not I suppose. I cannot really comment on how much better it works just that you can definitely tell there is an increase when you include a reflective surface.

Moved up a Giant Bhut, Goat's Weed and a Birgit Locoto today.

Hey Millman! Good to see you brother. That's the first time I've ever seen leaves on a paper towel germinated seed. I had no idea people let them go that far. Thanks for the lesson bro and best of luck to ya!

HEY PATRICK!!

I have actually had many plants that get their first true set of leaves in the cups, no soil, no nutrients. Only the strong survive the hand of Millworkman!

So I know I said I was going to be taking it easy this year but apparently telling myself that didnt make it so. Started a whole nother slew of seeds today.

Caramel Bhuts
Black Scorpion
PI 441656 Baccatum var. Praetermissum
PI 639653 C. Chacoense
PI 631154 C. Flexuosum

PI 593635 Yellow C. Pubescens
Red Scorpion
Yellow 7 pod
Peach Pubescens
Red Pubescens
More Tree Habs

I've got a bag full of Morouga seed burning a hole on my shelf... trying to restrain from germinating anything more...

update: just put a few morougas and da neydes in soil... now i'm officially done with germinating.

Millman it happens to all of us. I'm almost embarrassed to tell anyone what I've been up to the past few days. I know I've at least doubled what I started with so don't be too hard on yourself.

Little guys are getting bigger and a bunch of new sprouts. Also got some sweet, as in awesome, wild Tepin seeds from Mike(capsidadburn) that I had to get started today!

First of an overall shot of the guys that were started on Feb 2.

Ahhhh wook at the widdle fuzzy babies. Things be looking good Millman.

How about telling a guy what's so special about the C. Rhomboideum? When you have the time of course. I did a bit of looking myself and found this: http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=c.%20rhomboideum&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CCcQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Ffatalii.net%2Fgrowing%2Findex.php%3Foption%3Dcom_content%26task%3Dview%26id%3D104%26Itemid%3D96&ei=II1RT7qYOoyDsAKpnoXwBQ&usg=AFQjCNGvpYCYWHafTXWGf2I8QSUlNj7l2g&cad=rja I may have to grow this baby. Very cool looking plant.

Great looking plants Mill! Best of luck on getting the tepins thru the winter. I think you stand a good chance especially with any at minor protection .

Love the fuzzy!

Mike

Oh Patrick, did you not follow last years grow? The rhomb gives nothing other than a beautiful plant. I say the most beautiful pepper plant ever. The fruit is nothing to write home about, no heat, but the plant is just cool to look at. I'll send you some seeds this year. PM you address.

I have a few fuzzy galapagoenses growing, loving them for the plants as well, but the pods aren't bad either. I wonder if rhombi will cross with other Capsicum species.
