I do on certain kinds like my Goats Weed, but not until they have matured a bit. They get peppers later than most of my peppers and I have a long summer so they have time to bush out better.
Just spray them off with medicated soap, that won't hurt the lady bugs. I also lightly rub with my fingers when I spray them, do it a few days in a row and you are good. Also, be careful fertilizing when the weather is cool, aphids love those new little leaves coming out to quickly.
I had a few that were that color before I transplanted them in my pepper patch, they changed shades within a month. That looks like a nice sized plant, I would use a much larger pot. and give it new soil. I compost egg shells for the calcium.
