looked my carefully at the seedlings i selected yesterday and it's 60x plants ... i've got about a month before they arrive and get eased into Florida sun, but it looks like I'll be farming some pods again ... Apparently I forgot I had said I would just buy SFRB's this year, all last year ...
Just ordered a few dozen single plants from CCN and selected another dozen varieties in seed from my collection ... guess I'm going to grow a bunch of pods this year (considering i've still got year one's group setting flowers right now) ...
perennial peppers in effect here in Sarasota, FL ... no freeze this year, not even close, and not really even all that cold ... the trunks (or stems) of the overwinters are thick and the brown bark turned back to green ... looking forward to seeing how second year plants 'work' ...

I have a bunch of plants that I'm not going to continue growing (literally a dozen kinds of tepins and various other small pod varieties that we didn't really care for) ... I'm primarily just wasting 6 months of fruitful growing to get the experience of seeing what happens to various varieties grown as perennial here. Since it's Florida, there's no problem with planting out from now until summer, really, based on what I saw this past year - granted it's been unusually...
