We had an early frost and hit 28 at night and can remember being in the thirties during the day. It was winter! Killed off all my plants besides my roses.
Anyways, I just want to know how long I may be safe with the tarp. Letting my stuff grow bigger while taking a risk I imagine,

Same weather in PA, but my pods are ripening. Every day, I get a 1/2 full or more, plastic grocery bag from about 65 plants. And this counts the extras for my jalepino loving bunnies that chew some plants in certain locations down to nubs. How odd yours are being, since mine will ripen until...
Wow, good for you! I don't have nerves of steel like you do. I have a narly looking unidentified pepper plant this year, and I am afraid to try it. Instead I dehydrated the pods. While slicing them, my lips and throat burned and that was enough for me.
You are liable if a kid jumps in your unfenced pool and drowns. I can see whereas a super hot should not be planted where kids stroll through. Kids will be kids and the super hots are colorful and tempting. Most parents would be like, serves you right. But then you also have the bad parents...
