    Too Leggy?

Thanks again for the replies. I had no idea that adding a fan would have that much impact on the plants. I'll be replacing the bulbs and adding a fan soon.

    Too Leggy?

Thanks for the quick replies! I'll definitely burry them deeper. I can only burry them so deep in that tray, so should I wait till they get few more leaves on them and bury them deeper when I repot them?

    Too Leggy?

I'm growing a mix of hot peppers and bell peppers that are approximately 3 weeks old. The peppers are kept under my 2' fluorescent grow light. I place my tray on a box to help lift them up to get optimum light. I live in NC, and the weather has been preety warm lately. If the weather keeps...

    Looking for a little help

I recently put them in new potting soil that claims to feed them for up to 6 months. Yes, I check the soil with my finger.

I water them every couple of days, or whenever the soil is dry.

    Looking for a little help

I'm relatively new to growing hot peppers. I ended up with a late start this year and I have run across a problem. Some of my peppers are begining to take on a yellow and white color. I noticed it a week or so ago, but I didn't think too much about it. If anybody knows what causes this and...

    Capitone's 2011 Grow: North Carolina

I had a late start on my plants. They did not germinate till the first of April. I had plans of planting most of my plants in my garden, with bell peppers, cucumbers and tomatoes, but unfortunately the garden caught a case of the black spot fungus. I'm too scared to plant them in the garden...

    Capitone's 2011 Grow: North Carolina

Your plants look spectacular! I'm also in NC, just about 30 mins south of Raleigh. My plants are not nearly as large and productive as yours. Pretty jealous.

    seeds Starting seeds

I just ordered about 100 seeds of different varieties and I'm going to attempt to germinate them. I do not have any grow lights or a heating mat. I'd appreciate any help on the best way to get the highest germination rate. Are heating pads and lights necessary? Thanks for any advice! :)
