Nice.   Tasted it...pretty darn good actually. I forgot that this was a habanero sriracha...it has some heat. I've cooked it about 20 minutes. I'm going to let it cool and strain and use.

Or my stomach after a bout of Ebola....lol   Really though...it smells fine and there was no fuzzy things or discolorations on the top. I guess just the idea of a jar of peppers sitting out for 2+ years has me a little uneasy. I have it on the stove cooking now while waiting for some answers...

So I made a batch of sriracha and put in a couple jars to ferment and get nice and tasty. I forgot about them. Found them today. Date on the lid is 9/2013. Popped the lid on one jar and it smalls great and doesn't look bad in anyway. So...do you think it would be safe to strain and cook and give...

Making this now. Only change I made was I added about a 1/4 cup of sugar. I like my salsa with just a touch of sweetness.

It was good and perfect heat. Not that hot but enough to keep it interesting.

Best haul so far...probably will be the biggest all at once haul I'll have.   

I got a few chocolate habs off my plant yesterday. Very tasty....reuben dip stuffed....  

   

And another "Reaper" that I'm not sure about now. Guess it doesn't matter too much...it's going to be extremely hot, I'm sure. I just won't offer the seeds as Reaper seeds when the time comes.   

Another pepper I noticed today that has me excited...nothing fancy but I'm proud of it...     And another somewhat gnarly but green Reaper...  

Pretty awesome. I'm planning the same thing but I'm concerned because there's so much confusion in my pepper garden right now. Several things planted as one type are turning out to be something different. I'll just have to post a disclaimer and a picture of the pepper that gave the seeds and let...

They are actually fairly shaded actually. I held some big leaves back so the sun would hit them for the pictures, but otherwise, they are inside the canopy of the plant. Not to say that you aren't right. But every pod on this plant has the brown shoulders and the plant right next to it, getting...

Didn't plant any....but I seem to be growing some. Plant next to it has pods that look identical except the shoulders are coloring up red.      

  First of all I'm new to all this so what do I know. Second...I was very careful keeping everything separate and labeled, not to say I didn't goof somewhere along the line. Third, I didn't plant any red/orange habs knowingly so that's where my confusion comes in. And now I'm starting to see...
