Where are you from in Michigan? I live in Grand Rapids, but I'm in East Lansing every day for school.

I had my first sprouts within a few days too! I never used the dome though. I just put the whole tray directly under the light and mist the soil once in the morning and once at night.

Ok thanks! Like I said, it's a poor man's set-up. I just used books to prop a fluorescent fixture I took off of an old desk unit above the tray. I don't really have the means (that I know of) to really control the temp up there. Won't the lamp create some amount of heat?

Hi all! So I'm very new to this whole game and I've never grown peppers from seed before. I was poking around here, got a few ideas and started my first seeds Monday. A little late in the season I know, but better late than never...I'm just hoping something grows by the end of the year...

Wow, I really wish I knew what I was doing. I put various types of seeds in some Burpee cells last weekend and threw them under a fluorescent light. I've never done this before so I'm just hoping to get something. That will be a successful season for me :)

For my favorite sauce I use rice vinegar. It's a carrot/onion based sauce with habaneros and serranos and it seems to go well. Hi, I've always been a big fan of hot peppers and all things spicy. Last year I grew one hot pepper plant in a pot and want to gain some more experience and wisdom! Plus, my wife doesn't share this obsession quite as deeply as I do so I need somebody else to talk with about it! :)
