    I have 2 Red Rocoto's from seedsaversexchange.com flowering at the moment & one of them has purple streaks on the unripe green peppers, is this how they ripen or something else? Thanks

    Worm castings tea recipe?

    2 ounces of ewc's per gallon 1 tsp. unsulphured black strap molasses per gallon   or you could simply make a earthworm casting slurry...2 ounces of castings per gallon & shake the shit out of it every few hours a day before using is how I do it.

    The warmest of the two would be my suggestion. What are you germinating them in, soil, paper towel, etc? I wouldn't recommend a window sill especially in canada this time of year.

    2014 - The Year of the Red Capsicum pubescens Takeover

    This will be my first year in very long time growing hot peppers & the main ones will be Red Manzanos & Red Rocotos with a few Biggie Chile Hybrid & Maule's Red Hot (Cayenne type) thrown in the mix.   So far I have these above soil and growing...   1 Biggie Chile Hybrid 2 Red Rocoto   Not above...
