I have 2 Red Rocoto's from seedsaversexchange.com flowering at the moment & one of them has purple streaks on the unripe green peppers, is this how they ripen or something else?
Thanks
2 ounces of ewc's per gallon
1 tsp. unsulphured black strap molasses per gallon
or you could simply make a earthworm casting slurry...2 ounces of castings per gallon & shake the shit out of it every few hours a day before using is how I do it.
The warmest of the two would be my suggestion. What are you germinating them in, soil, paper towel, etc? I wouldn't recommend a window sill especially in canada this time of year.
A few pics...

Red Rocoto 2
Thanks man , I think it will be fun growing them. I'm hopeing I get some nice sized ones this season for hot stuffed peppers.
Thanks Nigel, which ones are you growing?
lol Same here, I seen them for the first...
This will be my first year in very long time growing hot peppers & the main ones will be Red Manzanos & Red Rocotos with a few Biggie Chile Hybrid & Maule's Red Hot (Cayenne type) thrown in the mix.
So far I have these above soil and growing...
1 Biggie Chile Hybrid
2 Red Rocoto
Not above...
