sun When do I move to sunlight

I'm right along with the others, as long as they have true leaves and the temps are with in a safe range they can start going out. I normally juat place mine out under a shadecloth for a week or two then remove it after that. Some varities take less time some need a little more time under the...

    Are Fatalli's slow starters?

I've had about the same happen. My Fatalli's had been slow to start (germ after ten days). The Scorps and 7 pot seem to be the strongest growers from the supper hots (sown on 16/03 and already have 2-3 leave pairs) Bhuts seem to grow at about the same rate as the Fatalli's even though they took...

    Titusza1's Grow log.

So for the last few days the peppers have been in and out of the house given any chance they can to get some sun from under their shade cloth. I've been able to leave them out all day most days with little to no sign of leaf burn. The youngest of the plants (all but three) are just over three...

    Make my sauce more runny

Also another thought. When you make your sauce do you let it set for a amount of time or use it right away. I have found it's best to let the sauces sit for a week or so, more so if they contain vinegar, so the tast evens out and doesn't taste so acidic.

After a few nice days in the sun under shadecloth I once again am stuck moving plants in and out each day. I just want the nice weather to stay.

    Make my sauce more runny

+1 for this. If it's still not to you liking after this you can always strain the pulp out though a chessecloth or fine strainer utill it's to your liking.

    Hardening off

I wouldn't think twice about putting them out, they should be fine even down to the mid 40's with out any real damage as long as it stays frost free. The direct sunlight is more of a factor than the heat or cold. I've just placed some of my plants out for the last few days under a few layers of...

    BONSAI !

Hi Siliman, I wouldn't do anything to it now, you could pot down but the pot is not that big so it could be used as a trainning pot to help the grow out and cut phase go faster. I would just let the new growth grow out at the branch tips to about 6-8" and then trim it back to 2-3 nodes, wire and...

    BONSAI !

You could try normal tree cut sealer ( tar based) I've use it before on other bonsai and it works well. It's normal to see a plant die back abit after cutting a main branch but normally just till the last living node. If your trying to heal a cut with little scaring after time I would invest in...

    BONSAI !

The yellow 7 pot looks great. You may want to think about shortening the trunk down the the second new growth on the three trunks and give thought to removing the lower two completely. The trunk has a really dynamic look to it and the plant has a lot of promise.

harvesting Seeds from this years harvest

This way works but I've found it best to follow these directions ( http://fatalii.net/growing/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=35&Itemid=54 ) with plants that will self pollenate just to make sure I'm getting what I intend to cross. Choose a mother plant that you want the offsping to...

harvesting Seeds from this years harvest

Crossing is always a fun. Picking a good cross is somewhat of a guessing game and hope for the results you want. But on to you question, I normally dry them first, to stop possible rotting before germanating the next season. You could sow fresh but would have to wait until the plants fruit to...

    BONSAI !

Love all around Nova. I really can't wait to get started with my own Bonchi in fall. It's been so long since I've grown peppers and done Bonsai. I never thought I could combine the two. It makes me wish I never canceled my subscription to Bonsai Art magazine I think I do have about 2-3 years of...

    BONSAI !

If you just potted it I would cut it back hard now. There is a chance ever so slight that it would start losing leaves and weakening if it is not cut back though this may not happen, it's best that a newly potted bonsai have little current growth to support. If it is cut back it will take a week...

    BONSAI !

It looks alive and growing or have you just cut down and potted the plant? This plants off to a great start but reall should be trimmed back hard. I would cut the trunk back to just below the Y and use the new growth there as a base for a crown. Trim all the new growth back to 2-3 nodes and grow...
