Gotta love those rocoto flowers. I've never eaten one and it's the first year I have a rocoto but I've already fallen in love.

Nice ow's! I'm trying to figure out where I'm gonna put all the plants I want to Ow. It does get below 0 here so the shed might be a gamble. Might put some in there to see what happens.

Very strange growing season here as well. Was over 40° a couple of weeks ago and now it's been cloudy for weeks and lowest nighttime temp was 8.9°. Even my tomatoes are just starting to ripen. We defenetly need a long pleasant Fall!

Had to try some pimientos de padrón, pretty good! Last few weeks pretty bad weather, not much sun and nighttime temps low. Hopefully some more sun soon. Plants still doing good but really gonna need a long season to get everything ripe..

Thanks Canedog, the reaper is full of flowers. Last year it did not flower so prolifically and only set a couple of pods. Have never grown any rocoto's before, never tasted one either. Love the plant though and am looking forward to tasting it's pods. If it sets fruit that is! Thanks Joe, heat...

Was crazy hot last week, this week temp is down and it's a bit more cloudy. Plants seem to like that it's cooled down a bit. Here is one of my tunnel greenhouses The chinense's are flowering, except for the 7pod Bubblegum. The rocoto is doing great, one of the bigger plants, hope I can get it...

A big stick I use to support the weight of my tomatoes fell on the yellow rocoto.. Right in the middle of the plant. Luckely only a few shoots broke, it looked far worse but it's not to bad. Thought I might as well try and clone them rather then toss them in the compost. Let's see what happens.
