Trippaul Threat (PdN x BMJ) Community Grow

This is a dedicated grow log for Tristen's awesome cross, which I
have been growing out since 2014.  I'll start with a bit of history and
some photos documenting what's happened so far.

In January of 2014, Tristen (Trippa) sent me a little care package of seeds.
In the package were two generations of a cross he had made, which he just
called 'Mystery Cross, F1' and 'Mystery Cross, F2'.

Here's Trippa's Mystery Cross seedlings in February of 2014:

Both generations showing the purple foliage characteristic since the beginning.

Up close look at Trippa's Mystery Crosses, F1 and F2.  Both culled to a single
plant after the photo taken, so I only had one plant of each generation:

Mine are dying now. And during the day the leaves look wet. Idk if its from the calcium shit I sprayed on them.
Aw, shoot, man, that is rotten news, Andy.
I hope you can get a handle on this.

Bhuter white is turning super white. Almost coyote Zan white like. Perhaps a tinge of butter cream. Stays in that lime green phase for a while after violet, then go straight to white. Pics incoming tomorrow.

Sounds right, Rich. I love the lime green
phase, really unique.

found my first pod the other day, hoping she encourages some more. the plant is tall and healthy.
Way cool    that's a classic shape and
appearance for the early pods, Scott.

'White' or "Purple' variety      ?

This morning, me, watering and checking for pest attacks, and LO!

Always good to find a little surprise, Eric!

The Violets have arrived! Unlike BDASPNY though, my F8 is no more than a foot tall and maybe as wide...

When you say F8, where did the seeds come from?
We are only in the F7 season, next (2020) will be the F8  ;)

No blossoms on white yet, but they'll come...
Yes, but when they get going, you should have some great pods!

that's how mine started almost like a short box. lol then they started to grow up.
Yeah, once the secondary branches start penetrating
the 'canopy', the plants really stretch and fill out.

Some great looking plants and pods in this thread, awesome cross!

Thanks, Burt. I'm sure there will be seeds around
in the Fall, if you are interested. Just keep an eye
out for one you like and and look for a trade or
something.

Just an update. White pepper seeds purple pods F7]

Nice looking plants, Bookers. Are the pods soft yet?
Even the white pods start out dark purple.

Those are great looking pods

My outdoor plant still only has tiny dots instead of pods.  There are quite a few of them and they have gone a paler colour so I'm guessing that's all it's going to produce.  The indoor plant has only two pods on it but at least they look like they should do.  The first one has turned kind of yellow; I'm expecting it to finish ivory.

(I know - photos!)
