Ahhhh, I see. Thanks, man. That was the only thing I didn't try :) Guess I really didn't try everything

What is the process of embedding on here? I tried everything and all it would post is code.

Since I can't figure out how to embed youtube videos on posts here, I'll just paste the link. This video is my favorite of the 2 :)

You "slap" it down, hence the name ;) It's all manual. As you push (slap) the shaft down, the blades go down to cut and rotate after each turn. Do it quickly and you have chopped veggies in a matter of seconds. I don't think the sizes vary very much. I have seen several models but this is by far...

smokers Mods to my verticle smoker

Ha! Nah, I've just always been the type to take things apart or to jerry things together with a bucket of old nuts and bolts :) The ribs were the result of several things, but the smoker was a big tool in the process. Slow and low and they're done with they're done is what I go by.

smokers Mods to my verticle smoker

I have recently purchased a Backwoods Smoker Party and I almost decided to toss an old verticle smoker away. It was once electric and even the element couldnt keep it at temp. It's a really cheap model that was given to me a decade ago and I now know why. Well, it is no longer a POS and whenever...

    Best chopper to use

The chopper came in yesterday and I made 8 pints of salsa with ease. This thing is so great, I was able to chop tomatoes with it. Thanks for the suggestion, Rocketman! I think I am sold on Pampered Chef products from this day forward.

    Best chopper to use

I just purchased one of these. I have heard their products are top of the line so we will see. The one I broke was an off-brand, cheap-o. It was only a matter of time before I slapped it into the garbage.

Hmmm, that's not a bad idea. I could see this being good for garlic mincing.

Thanks for your suggestions but I do not want to use a blender. I'd like to add that I also chop fresh tomatoes and smoked peppers, which would liquefy in a blender. I need something that is sharp, quick and durable.

    Best chopper to use

What does everyone use to chop up their peppers and other ingredients? I was using a Slap Chop for a while until I slapped it too hard too many times. Chopping with a knife to finish up a case of sauce, after the Slap Chop malfunction, consumed WAY too much time! I don't want to put my...

    fermenting Smoked Pods for Mash?

I smoked some peppers that I picked up at an international grocery store this past weekend. I put them on my electric smoker with no water pan and used 2 hickory chunks for about an hour. I don't know what kind of peppers they are. They don't taste all that great fresh. Big, long and crooked...

    Flowers dropping and leaves curling

No need to apologize at all! I appreciate your feedback, as well as everyone else. We got a good rain last night and I have installed a dripper system that has flushed the buckets and soil pretty good. I can already see the plants recovering, I just believe I wasted a month of fruiting :( I...

    water Water dripper system configuration

I read a lot of stuff on here prior to the purchase and came across his awesome thread. I was just seeking further feedback from folks who use a similar system. I'll take all this info and apply it this evening, gives me a great place to start! Thanks again!

    water Water dripper system configuration

I am apparently watering them too much then! They haven't even been installed a whole day yet so I will get home and adjust them to your same setting. TX and TN have similar weather so I'd say your measurement is probably pretty accurate. I am still going to put a dripper in a bucket to see how...

    water Water dripper system configuration

All of the above :) The majority of my plants are peppers but I have two tomato plants. 9 out of 26 plants are in 5 gallon buckets. The rest are in a 12x6 raised bed.

    water Water dripper system configuration

I bought a Mister Landscaper dripper system last night at Lowes to prepare for an upcoming vacation. Plus it will be nice not having to water my plants manually  Does anyone have a ratio that they suggest I use for gallons per hour/times per day/time per spray? I bought the adjustable...
