When you make your peat based potting soil are u using the pelitized (crushed) or pulverized (powder) lime or a mixture of the two....? Also how much are you adding per gallon or yard of potting soil?

Some of my pepper plants are starting to get yellow leaves with green veins, my jalapeno is showing it the most but others are starting to follow suit! Any help would be great.

What would you-all recommend as the safest pesticide for aphids (i know "recommend" and "pesticide" don't usually go together on this board :)? I have about 40 pepper plants and 36 tomatoes so picking them off by hand is not going to happen. Also i already know Sevin doesn't kill them.

Anyone ever thought of using seeding mats for making pepper mash in the winter months? My wife likes to keep the house on 65 degs so trying to make mash in the winter is slow for me if it wants to ferment at all. I was thinking the mats keep my seedlings right around 80 degs... just about...
