flavor Flavour profiles, descriptions, preferences no short cut's ?

I like them all in their own way and it's only by growing them, or friends giving me some and tasting that I get it. It's been a great experience year after year to include a few strains in the mix I've never tried before just for the surprise of the aroma, taste, look, and of course heat. Worth...

    misc Pepper ID App

For next year take a spreadsheet and stand looking at your garden and put the names of each plant in the cells in a way that you can point them out later. If one dies, delete that cell. Has worked for me for years. Sorry no help to the initial question but maybe to not have it happen again.

tutorial Fine powder method (Picture heavy)

I can appreciate all the work you put in. Wow. Nice job! By cutting and sifting out everything you probably get better heat and flavor than I do, but I wonder if its worth it as mine really comes out tasty and hot. To be honest I just cut in half, dehydrate and run in a coffee grinder to a fine...

    flavor Superhot flavour profiles

That family would be all of the Indian peppers like the Naga and Bhuts you mentioned but expand to Naga Viper, Moriches etc... and all the different bhut Jolokia crosses. I even made my own over a few years at F5 right now so I understand what you mean. Most from that region will be similar but...

Best use of frozen chili peppers

I've thawed and dehydrated/grinded into powder a few times. Freezing doesn't have any noticeable affect after making powder (at least that I can tell). I thaw them then slice and add to food cooking all the time too. I always tell friends to be careful if they make sauce, watching the ph etc...

Isnt this the jum duffy thread with the names changed to protect the innocent? Lol thisnthread reinvents itself every couple years with a different cross. I will admit the reaper had a lot longer buildup(read drama) prior to coming out than most though and its seemed to extend a couple years...

What becomes of the surplus harvest?

Freeze em all, then as I have time dehydrate then off to the coffee grinder. I take some and put in these nice little clear bottles with ceramic tops and give as gifts to friends I know that like it. I also take a small ziplock bag down to a fish restuarant close by. They love it and we eat...

    Nutrient lock out?

When I suspect lockout I just water deep with plain old tap water(ph is luckily about 6.2 this year) and wait till dry and resoak. Like everyone said DTW. I think of it as flushing. The plants survive a couple weeks of plain water then I lightly re-fert litghly the first time then a full dose a...

    Ants on Pepper Plants

Eh, Ill take the experience here over google.(words to live by) Google is ranking based on advertising so if the real info is not profitable/mrketble somehow, its buried 30 pages into a search.
