    Peach Surprise

I am going to try something similar with the peach and ginger mash I have leftover from making homemade soda. I'll probably simplify it to just having the peach mash, a few cloves of garlic and use bonnets for the heat. I was debating the garlic until I saw this in my search. Thanks for posting...

Super Hots Canada - Grow 2014-2015 (Starts on Page 12) - I have a greenhouse now! YAY! :D

I wouldnt be too worried with flower drop off. I have a 4 ft tall red hab that Ive had growing for a year indoors that drops flowers every day, but for every flower that drops eventually you'll have some poddage. When I pollinate the hab the flowers only give off a few grains of pollen at a time...

Raccoons are destructive little devils, in city you can only shoot em with .22 pellets or catch em in cages. I know we can get the live traps at canadian tire, so you could probably locate one at an equivalent store. I opted to shoot em at night when they were raiding my garden a year back. I...

Need help from Canadian cold weather gardeners!

I use west coast seeds based out of delta they have a sowing chart as well, its probably closer to your schedule. Cold frames are an excellent way to prolong your season and boost the heat in the more moderate months.

First timer pepper grow! Planted Feb. 17th, 2013- Pods Multiplying!

Jalapeños are a great gateway pepper, they taste good both ripe and un ripe and they tend to be less finicky than some. I couldn't even get bell pepper starts bought at a nursery to be edible when started out. Then I bought some jalapeño seeds, started them and got pods the next year.

    Southerncanada's rain forest chilis 2013

Time for another update, I have at least a few sprouts of all the varieties I have currently. I have done a quick count of how many cells I have planted and it looks like if I don't cull some of the weak ones I will have over 300 with more varieties on the way. I ended up culling some weak ones...

    Kramer Chids 2012 (indoor) / 2013 Glog

I love the advanced botany going on there ^ I'm interested in the media you use, it looks like the rice husks with tree sand/or horticultural grit. Does the carnivorous plant hobby require a lot of special attention and research in this regard?

    Dragon49's 2013 Grow Log

You seedling is looking nice. What kind of ratio does the fertilizer your waiting on have? Be careful with heavy nutrients excess fert can cause your plant to grow slow, if you make everything available too frequently too early the plant can cut down its production of new feeder roots. I would...

seeds Going out of town. How so I save seedlings?

If If you want to use a capillary mat you need to have very good sized holes in the bottom of your cups. The window sill method is probably the easiest , That or you could get a pepper sitter.

    Southerncanada's rain forest chilis 2013

Hi all, time for another update. I have at least one hook from all varieties, I have one flat that was a square 50 cell and it is seemingly lagging behind the 72's in planted a day or two later, I guess it retains less heat than the deeper cells. I am still waiting on the majority of my serrano...
